  • Universidad Veracruzana - Call for Participation to the Virtual International Collaboration Courses (VIC)

    The International Office of the Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico) launches a call for participation to the Virtual International Collaboration (VIC) programme, that they will be organizing online through the EMINUS platform from September 27th, 2021 to December 10th, 2021. The aim of the course is to guide participants in the development of an educational intervention with an international partner. The course (30hours) is free with limited availability.

  • Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas - Webinar on the University of the Future

    The Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas will organise a webinar on the University of the Future, whose objective is the reflection and analysis of the transformation that universities will have to carry out to overcome the challenges they will have to face in the future. Giorgio Marinoni, Manager, HE Internationalization Policy and Projects at the International Association of Universities, will take part in the webinar among others.
    The webinar is scheduled in two sessions: Tuesday, August 31, 2021 and Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at 12:30 p.m. (Mexico Central Time).

  • Joint IAU&OUI-IOHE - Pre-CAEI Webinar: Covid-19 and higher education, a global conversation

    CAEI Chile-2021 is now open for registration and the IOHE invites you to be a part of this seventh edition of the continental forum dedicated to the internationalization of higher education in the Americas. In preparation of this international event OUI-IOHE and the International Association of Universities (IAU) organize a pre-conference webinar which will gather main actors and decision-makers linked to academic cooperation and international education.

  • Chinese University of Hong Kong - New Pro Vice-Chancellors

    The Council of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has approved the re-appointment of Professor Chan Wai-yee, Professor of Biomedical Sciences in the School of Biomedical Sciences, as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University for a further period of three years with effect from 1 August 2021. Professor Chan will continue with his present portfolio as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Developments).
    The Council has also approved the appointment of Professor Anthony T.C. Chan, Professor of Clinical Oncology in the Department of Clinical Oncology, and Professor Nicholas Rawlins, Master of Morningside College, as Pro-Vice-Chancellors of the University, each for a period of three years with effect from 1 August 2021.

  • AAU appoints a New Secretary General

    The outgoing President of the Association of African Universities (AAU) Governing Board, Professor Antonio Orlando Quilambo (Rector of Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique), has announced the appointment of a new Secretary General for the Association of African Universities effective 1st October 2021. Following a highly competitive recruitment process, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole was chosen to take over the running of the 54-year-old Association. He will replace Professor Etienne Ehouan Ehile, an Ivorian higher education leader, who has led the Association for the past nine (9) years.

  • AAU welcomes New Governing Board Members

    The Association of African Universities, (AAU) has just eletected it’s new Governing Board Members during its 15th General Conference on July 5-8, 2021, held virtually.
    The outgoing President of the AAU Governing Board, Professor Antonio Orlando Quilambo (also the Rector of Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique) welcomed the following distinguished African higher education leaders as the new 2021/2025 AAU Governing Board Members effective 9th August 2021:

  • HETL seeking Applications for Doctoral Research Awards

    Emerald Publishing and the Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association (HETL) are delighted to offer a grant award for a doctoral research project that addresses the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
    The winner will receive a cash prize of £500.00, certificate, a published interview on the Emerald website and an opportunity to work directly with our partners Editage to create a bespoke and engaging research summary.
    Runners up will receive a certificate and a published interview on the Emerald website.
    Eligibility Criteria:
    The awards are open to those who have completed and satisfied examination requirements for a doctoral award, between 15 Jan 2018 and 28 February 2021, and have not applied previously for one of these awards.

    The deadline for submission is 10 September 2021. Entries submitted after this deadline will not be considered for the award.
