  • Bournemouth University - Survey on Work-Life Balance post Covid-19

    Since the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, Bournemouth University (BU) provided concrete support to help local communities and healthcare establishments battle the disease. Their latest initiatives is the launch of a survey on "Work-Life Balance post Covid-19". BU invites academics, at all career stages and from any subject area, to contribute voluntarily to this research that aims to assess the impacts of the Covid-19 outbreak on all academics work/life balance. By understanding the impacts, concerns and coping mechanisms, BU hopes to identify lessons learned to inform what universities and individuals can do to nurture good work/life balance of all academics.

  • Zhejiang University - New Guidebook of Hospital Response Strategy to COVID-19

    Following to the publication of the Handbook of COVID-19 Prevention and Treatment last month, Zhejiang University has just released on April 11, a new guidebook – COVID-19 outbreak : Hospital Response Strategy.   • Daffodil International University - CoronaThon-19:A Hackathon for Combating COVID-19

    Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh is organizing the CoronaThon-19:A Hackathon for Combating COVID-19 all over the world during 28-30 April, 2020. Under this competition, students from Grade 10 to Post Graduation level will be eligible to compete online & solve the challenges brought on by the current pandemic. This initiative mainly aims to develop the best possible solutions to fight against the Corona pandemic and also engage the students in productive work during this lockdown period. It will also help them to think outside of the box towards the real challenges. Students from all over the world are invited to join CoronaThon19.

  • Nuffic : Updated guide on Joint Programmes

  • University of Helsinki – Fighting disease with Data Science

    Researchers at the University of Helsinki are feverishly developing new diagnostics and drug therapies to treat coronavirus infections. Among the key lines of research are identifying antibodies to prevent and treat the disease, investigating opportunities in drug treatment and developing tests. Read more

    The University also provides open-for-all education in the fascinating field of Data Science by offering several Massive Open Online Courses in artificial intelligence, data analysis, programming, and security as Data Science helps us understand, mitigate and prevent crises and epidemics by helping us extract insights from large-scale datasets.

  • New initiative UOC - Emergency Remote Teaching

    The UOC has marked their 25th anniversary on 6th April 2020, by launching a new initiative to accompany academics in obtaining the skills needed in the situation created by Covid-19.
    Starting on, 9th April 2020, the UOC will organise a cycle of Emergency Remote Teaching which includes training sessions in webinar and MOOC format. The first webinar will be offered under the title "Online learning and teaching: overcoming social distance" by the professor Albert Sangra.
    All the experiences and learning opportunities the UOC offers are brought together on a new dedicated webpage (only available in Spanish and Catalan). It complements the resources already available through the joint portal [email protected]: la universidad en casa, a project from the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Spanish Rectors’ Conference CRUE designed by UNED and the UOC.

  • University of Tabriz – Impact of COVID 19 on HE

    Many academic and research communities have resolved to work remotely for health and safety reasons due to Covid 19. Iranian University of Tabriz is one of them. From February 23th, upon getting informed about the COVID-19 outbreaks in Iran, chancellery board of the University decided to close all classes and ask students to leave the University. Relevant supports were provided for their transfer with special attention to non-Iranian students who want to leave the country.
    On February 30th, Electronic learning system (LMS) was launched and students could follow their education within this system. The Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) asked academic staffs to implement the potentials of virtual tools to support the e-learning program in order to ensure that that students can complete their educational program through digital.   • American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) goes virtual : Classes shift online

    Due to the worldwide pandemic Covid-19, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) one of the first private universities in Bangladesh has moved to a new way of working. AIUB is now gone fully virtual with its classes with the licensed Microsoft Teams Application that students and faculty members can access through their own university email IDs. With its dynamic interface and diverse features, approximately 11000 active student users along with around 650 faculty members and officials of AIUB are accessing this online platform, utilizing it to its full capacity for online class lectures and team-based work projects.   • 2020 EUA Annual Conference webinar series

    To support measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus, EUA, has taken the decision to cancel the 2020 EUA General Assembly and Annual Conference, which was to be held from 16 to 17 April 2020 at Gdańsk University of Technology in Poland. But a webinar series based on selected sessions of the 2020 EUA Annual Conference will be organised starting on Friday, 17 April. The webinars will cover the original theme of the EUA Annual Conference: Universities building a better Europe. Each webinar will last one hour and include an opportunity for Q&A.
