  • Toyo University - RECSIE Covid-19 Special Webinar Series

    In the current difficult situation caused by the Covid-19 global pandemic, international educators are facing unprecedented challenges. Research Consortium for the Sustainable Promotion of International Education (RECSIE) started to conduct webinars in Japanese related to these topics and they are offering another series of webinars in English, for a wider global audience. During these webinars, experts are invited to comment on and explain how educators can offer effective learning opportunities for their students during this time. Toyo University participated to the 5th webinar and invites participants to join the upcoming webinar Series VII: entitled "Possible remedies – student mobility in Asia and the Pacific during Covid-19 pandemic" that will be held on June 24th 10:30am-12:00 JST.




  • Holy Spirit University of Kaslik - Online International Summer School

    The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in Lebanon, is going to launch an Online International Summer School from July 3rd till July 31st, 2020. In addition to online interactive classes and learning activities, virtual cultural and social activities will also be scheduled to discover the Lebanese heritage and language and understand more the current scene in the Middle East.   • Association of African Universities Television Station (AAU TV) is now live online

    The Association of African Universities Television Station (AAU TV) is now live online and streams at https://tv.aau.org/live-tv/. Members of the AAU and the Higher Education community are encouraged to share research findings, virtual recording etc. to be broadcast on this channel. Since its establishment on April 6, 2018, the AAU TV has been streaming its programmes live on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pg/AAU67/), YouTube (Association of African Universities) and on its website (tv.aau.org). AAU TV’s free-to-air transmission on satellite covers the whole of Africa and beyond.




  • Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) - Conference on Industrial Revolution on Computing, Mobility, and Manufacturing

    Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) will host the International Conference on the 4th Industrial Revolution on Computing, Mobility, and Manufacturing (CMM 2020) that will take place in Khobar, Saudi Arabia on 8-10th December 2020. The aim of the conference is to stimulate scientific exchange, and to promote sustainable development, international networking, and participation in the context of industrial revolution in computing, mobility, and manufacturing.

  • Siam University hosted the first ACD-UN Webinar

    Asia Cooperation Dialogue University Network (ACD-UN) is the only network that has all Asian Universities focusing on mobility and collaborative relationship between Higher Education and Business activities. On 20th May 2020, Siam university hosted the first Asia Cooperation Dialogue University Network (ACD-UN) webinar under the theme "The New Normal for Higher Education Across Asia: Post-COVID World and How Universities in Asia Respond." The host and main producer of the webinar is Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, the Executive Director of ACD-UN and the Chairperson of webinar is Chancellor Kiyoshi Yamada, the Chancellor of Tokai University and Chairperson of ACD-UN. This webinar was very successful attended by 6 honorable speakers the opening remark by Secretary General of ACD from Kuwait; the keynote speaker from Business sector from Australia; and panelist members from Rector’s of Private Universities from Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and Bangladesh. This webinar was well attended with over 140 attendees worldwide.

  • ASAIHL Online World Congress 2020 on “COVID-19: the Global New Reality”

    On 28 May 2020, the Association of Southeast Asian Institution of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) held it’s Online World Congress 2020 focused on " COVID-19 the Global New Reality". Chulalongkorn University an IAU members was part of the organisation commitee and IAU President Pam Fredman took part to this event as one of the keynote speaker and presented the IAU Global Survey Report on the impact of Covid-19 on Higher Education around the world (now avalaible on the IAU website). Amongst other topics discussed during the online congress were : Education & Life-long Learning, Technology & Innovation. For more details please see the attached pdf file below.




  • "One Caribbean" Virtual Forum 2020: Assessing the impact of COVID-19

    The Universities Caribbean launches “One Caribbean” Virtual Forum: Assessing the impact of COVID-19 designing the future of the Caribbean University Sector, that will take place on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. The Forum will be chaired by Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, President of the Universities Caribbean and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West Indies. IAU Secretary General, Hilligje van’t Land one of the speakers will talk about the IAU Global Survey Report on the impact of COVID 19 on HE. To participate complete the following form.




  • University of Gothenburg - Sustainability ranking and new publications

    Nearly 800 universities in 85 countries participated in the 2020 version of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings and the University of Gothenburg ended up in place 45. Read more.
    The University has a long history of environmental research and a well-established environmental management system. They offer 10 programmes and around 100 courses with different angles of sustainable development.
