Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah obtained a Bachelor’s and Masters’ degree in Literature-in-English from the University of Ilorin in 1988 and 1992 respectively. In 1999, he received a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, and was subsequently professor and chair of African-American Studies at Western Illinois University. He held the position of Vice-Chancellor in Kwara State University Malete, before assuming duty as the 6th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja. Not only is Prof Na’Allah a university administrator, but also poet, scholar and critical thinker, author of Africa Discourse (Routledge 2010), Africanity (Bayreuth series, 2009), Yoruba Oral Traditions (Routledge 2020), Ilorin Fa (Bookcraft, 2022), among others.
