  • University of Tehran - Call for entries : Blue Vision International Photography Festival 2nd Edition

    Call for entries is now open for the Blue Vision International Photography Festival, an environmental international competition organized by art and ecosystem club at University of Tehran and with the help of students all over the world. The main focus of this year’s festival will be on well informed energy consumption and clean energies. The participants can submit their work until May 30th and the selected artists will be announced by the end of June. More




  • Association of American Colleges and Universities - Appointment of Eight New Directors

    New directors were appointed to AAC&U’s board during AAC&U’s 2018 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, in January. The new directors include eight educational leaders from a wide array of institutions. Richard Guarasci, President of Wagner College, became chair of the board, taking over for Elsa Núñez, President of Eastern Connecticut State University.   • Chulalongkorn University - International Conference on Social and Sustainability Science

    A regional conference and policy dialogue organised by Chulalongkorn University, an IAU Member, in collaboration with Thailand’s Office of the Higher Education Commission took place on 23 - 25 January 2018. Participants from over 18 countries took part in the International Conference on Social and Sustainability Science ASEAN 2018 which was organised in partnership with UNESCO Bangkok. More




  • St. Mary’s University (Ethiopia) – Call for Papers

    St Mary’s University launches a call for application for the 16th International Conference on Private Higher Education in Africa (25-27 July 2018), that will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Major theme: “Ensuring Employability and Entrepreneurship through Harmonization of Quality Assurance in African Higher Education”. Deadline for submission: 1 April 2018. More




  • IIE Andrew Heiskell Awards 2018

    The Institute of International Education (IIE) has announced the winners of the annual IIE Andrew Heiskell Awards for Innovation in International Education. Created in 2001, the Heiskell awards showcase the most innovative and successful models for internationalizing the campus, study abroad, and international partnership programs.




  • Cooperation Agreement - Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and the University of Sao Paulo

    The Hungarian Rectors’ Conference (HRC) and the University of Sao Paulo signed a cooperation agreement on 7 December 2017. Under the terms of the MoU, the parties agreed to assist student and professor mobility, to promote joint research activities and programs, and to foster the organisation of scientific events.




  • CONAHEC - Fall 2018 Short-term Faculty Exchange Call for Proposals

    CONAHEC launches a call for proposals for Fall 2018 Short-term Faculty Exchange. The aim of this programme is to expose students to international faculty members, promote international curricula, promote joint teaching programs, integrate activities with students from universities in different countries, open doors to possibilities for future collaborations. Deadline for participation: March 2, 2018.




  • New organisation in the Norwegian Education Sector

    The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) and the Norwegian Agency for Digital Learning in Higher Education (Norgesuniversitetet) and the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme (PKU) have merged into one organisation with effect from 1 January 2018. The as yet unnamed new organisation has over 100 employees, and is led by Director General Harald Nybølet.




  • The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) - New Rector

    Professor Rocky S. Tuan, an eminent biomedical scientist has been formally appointed by The Council of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) as the eighth Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK for a period of six years from 1 January 2018. He succeeded to Joseph J.Y. Sung who will continue to serve as Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK.




  • University of Salamanca - New Rector

    Ricardo Rivero, Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Salamanca (USAL) Law School, took office on December 18, 2017 as the new rector of the University of Salamanca, the oldest University in Spain. He succeded to Professor Daniel Hernández Ruipérez.
