  • AIUB Joins “Responsible Futures International 2024/25”

American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is proud to announce its participation in Responsible Futures International 2024/25-, an initiative led by Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK), and jointly delivered by the International Association of Universities (IAU). This global program partners students with their institutions to embed sustainability in all aspects of student learning, fostering ethical leadership and sustainable practices in academia.

AIUB is honored to be the first and only university from Asia to join this prestigious program, further solidifying its commitment to sustainability on a global scale.

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at AIUB played a pivotal role in arranging, coordinating, and facilitating this significant collaboration. The program commenced in December 2024, providing AIUB with access to a comprehensive framework developed by pilot institutions and sector bodies. This framework assists partnerships in legitimizing and mainstreaming education for sustainable development, supporting transformative changes in teaching, learning, strategies, and policies in collaboration with students.

Since its commencement in 2013, over 39 institutions and students’ unions have participated in Responsible Futures, representing nearly 700,000 students across the UK. The launch of the international pilot has added 6 new universities to the network, reaching over 100,000 students globally.

This partnership underscores AIUB’s commitment to academic excellence, ethical leadership, and environmental responsibility.
