The database on Higher Education Systems includes
information on the higher education systems of 183 countries and
territories worldwide*.
Please
note that IAU is currently reviewing its database on higher education
systems around the world and we are unfortunately unable to provide
information on the higher education systems of each country. We
are, however, pleased to provide you with several examples of the
information contained in our database. We hope to provide more
countries in the future.
The complete WHED
CD-ROM comprises information on the education system and the
credentials offered of each countries referenced and a comprehensive
description of over 17,000 higher education institutions. It is updated
annually. The 2009 edition was released in March 2009. For more

*It should be noted that
the designations employed for countries and
territories do not imply any expression of opinion of IAU with regard
to their status or the delimitations of their frontiers.
