International Association of Universities

The 2011-2015 IAU Project on Higher Education for Education For All (EFA) - following on the 2008-2010 IAU Project entitled Strengthening Linkages for Improved Education: Higher Education and Research Working for EFA and education-related MDGs - has been validated by the members of the IAU 2008-2010 Reference Group. This validation signals the launch of a series of activities that aims to further raise awareness and advocate for higher education participation for EFA. More concretely, the project will mainly build on, improve and enhance the capacity building sessions and the IAU Portal on Higher Education and EFA (HEEFA) and Newsletter developed during the 2008-2010 IAU Project. It will also foster the creation of a higher education community for EFA. One of its first activities will be to re-define the terms of reference for the Reference Group and enlarge it both geographically and as far as viewpoints are concerned.
