LEADHER - Overview

Committed to be of service to its Member Institutions, the
International Association of Universities (IAU) offers a programme in
support of professional development of the next generation of higher
education leaders as they prepare to meet the multiple and complex
pressures of today. Making the best possible use of the
Association’s dynamic and diverse global membership, the Leadership for
Higher Education Reform (LEADHER) Programme connects professionals in
higher education institutions working to improve the match between
societal demands and what higher education institutions offer.
Support for the programme is provided by the Swedish International
Development Cooperation Agency (SAREC/Sida) and IAU.
LEADHER: A Collaborative Professional
Development Experience
The LEADHER Programme creates opportunities for learning partnerships
and collaboration among IAU Member Institutions and taps into the
wealth of diverse institutional reform experience around the world.
Components of the programme:
Competition for LEADHER
grants is open exclusively to IAU Members in Good Standing.
All projects need to involve South-South or North-South cooperation,
with at least one of the partner institutions located in a Low Income Country.
